Crime Solvers is a program designed to enlist the aid of the community in helping the Montgomery County Police solve crimes. Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, Maryland is currently celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008.

Cool Button How Does Crime Solvers Work?
Each week Crime Solvers selects an unsolved crime as the "Crime of the Week". The facts of the case are broadcast on television and radio and printed in various newspapers.
Citizens with information about any crime are requested to call Crime Solvers at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477).

If this information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller is entitled to a reward of up to $1,000 for the "Crime of the Week" and between $100 and $1,000 for other crimes.

Crime Solvers was established in 1978 as the first in the Washington, DC metro area. Crime Solvers is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008.

The Crime Solvers Board of Directors is comprised of concerned citizens of Montgomery County who oversee the operation of the program.

Crime Solvers is an Independent Non-Profit Community Organization. Crime Solvers is funded by private donations of money, goods or services from members of the public, including individuals, corporations, clubs, associations, retailers, and other organizations. All contributions are deductible. You can help by contributing your time, services or money.
