How Does Crime Solvers Work?
Each week Crime Solvers selects an unsolved crime as the "Crime of the Week". The facts of the case are broadcast on television and radio and printed in various newspapers.
Citizens with information about any crime are requested to call Crime Solvers at 1.866.411.TIPS (8477).If this information leads to an arrest and indictment, the caller is entitled to a reward of up to $1,000 for the "Crime of the Week" and between $100 and $1,000 for other crimes.

Crime Solvers was established in 1978 as the first in the Washington, DC metro area. Crime Solvers is celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2008.

Crime Solvers has been successful in helping Montgomery County Police solve thousands of felony cases and recover millions of dollars in stolen merchandise.
Who administers the program?
The Crime Solvers Board of Directors is comprised of concerned citizens of Montgomery County who oversee the operation of the program.
Who funds Crime Solvers?
Crime Solvers is an Independent Non-Profit Community Organization. Crime Solvers is funded by private donations of money, goods or services from members of the public, including individuals, corporations, clubs, associations, retailers, and other organizations.
